New Farm

 We enjoyed a day at the new farm with Pike and Boone and Kael. It was nice to be out there and I am pleased to say it doesn't feel as weird to be hanging out in the new house as I thought it would. Flora was pretty sad about not going to the old farm anymore but she perked up when she found out that True would be moving soon and that his pen would be close to the house! She told Gramma that she wasn't worried because she would live at the old farm when she grew up. All in all, aren't we so blessed to have such amazing places to call home.

True love

This has been a summer of love for Flora. She has become a bit horse crazy, specifically in love with this guy, True. She has literally spent hours picking grass for him (making him "hay salad") and hanging out in the barn with him. He is lovely and obligingly puts his head up to hers when she climbs onto the fence in what seems to be a bit of a horse cuddle. She has even told mom "I've changed my brain. My favorite animal is horses, my second favorite is pigs." and, the most adorable quote ever, "I sure picked the right horse to love".

Iris loves the quad! Not so keen on the horses yet, but that quad sure keeps her happy!
