aussie

A busy but wonderful week for us, unfortunately ending in colds all around!
Flora spent the first part of the week with Holly, Gunner and Gordy again. She behaved for Auntie and picked up a few new things, such as how to sing “e i e i o”! Thanks again to Holly for taking such good care of my girl – didn’t have to worry about her once!
She loves to put mittens on, if there are no mittens around socks seem to do the trick!

Totally in love with Aussie.

happy birthday sister, mother

We celebrated mom and Kael’s birthdays this weekend at the farm. Mom was good enough to pass on her wisdom and show us girls how to make zwieback (Mennonite buns). We gorged on 4 dozen delicious buns, fresh out of the oven.

working mum

I am getting a taste for being a working mother. Flora spent Wednesday afternoon with Auntie Holly, Thursday with Grampa and Friday with Gramma and Grampa! Seeing as I have barely spent any time with her I have no pictures except for the ones that Holly kindly sent me. She has been so grown up and hasn`t seemed to miss me at all! Working is a nice break from the usual routine however I will be glad when my 5 week stint is over.

We stopped at Starbucks for lunch and then headed to Canadian Tire where Flora was set free and ran around the store, completely delighted.

15 months old

We enjoyed the insanely warm weather and headed into town to have an ice-cream at MacKays. After waiting for 30 minutes in the line I decided that I actually wanted to have pie so got Rich an ice-cream and then headed back to the pie shop to pick up the slice I had spotted earlier (flapper pie – pretty much the only pie I get excited about!). It sold out. I nearly cried. I should mention that things didn’t go well for me the day before, I managed to back out of our driveway and hit Rich’s car. Later in the evening I backed out again and heard a scraping noise, thought to myself “Seriously?! What now??” and looked in my wing mirror to see my pushchair rolling down the driveway. I spent our walk obsessing about the now bent front wheel of our $600 dollar stroller. Rich’s support was minimal, a sarcastic “It only has to get through two more kids” was all I got!
Flora practically nursed the ice-cream and cried when it was all gone.

fresh air and jumping

Practicing jumping.
On the trampoline all by herself!
Apologies for the lack of blogging this week! The weather has been amazing and I am going to blame it on the fresh air taking it out of me.
Busy week of walks, playing at the park and gymnastics.
