We headed out for an Eagle Walk. Just a fancy name for a
walk to the river to throw some rocks. There are actually eagles nesting at the
farm this year, something that has not happened ever as far as I am aware. My
mom laughs because this year she has finally committed to getting chickens...the
eagles must have gotten wind of an easy supply of fast food!

new room
We have had a pretty big change in our house – Flora has
moved to her big girl room to make way for the baby! She painted a picture of a
“castle and a beanstalk” to put next to the one her dad painted. She sleeps
soundly in her big bed and enjoys the freedom of coming into our room early in
the morning to cuddle! She even has room for big ol’ Blood to get into bed with
her if she chooses!
Easter and Easter dress. Actually, just Easter dress....
Okay....certainly an obnoxious number of pictures of Flora
in her Easter dress. I apologize. BUT how beautiful did she and Nini look?!
Thanks to Auntie Pookie for the thoughtful gift xxx

best friends
“ I am enjoying that” she says of the slide
“I am really good at finding rocks and puddles!” That is a
huge accomplishment in a parking lot filled with them!
This friendship make my heart burst. Flora and Nini are the
best of friends and it is a treat to watch the two of them play together.
“Are you okay back
there?” She asked Nini!

three videos to catch us up!
Excuses, excuses! I
have ignored the blog because I am so far behind which puts me off doing
anything at all in it until I am caught up, something that clearly isn't going
to happen. So, here are a few videos to update you on life in our part of the
world!
Flora has made way
for her new little brother or sister and moved out of the nursery and into her
newly decorated “big-girl” room, complete with pink walls, purple velvet
curtains, a big bed and a custom made pink painting by her dad for the wall. Flora
wanted to paint a picture “to hang beside my dad’s” so she went at it for over
an hour and created a beautiful castle and beanstalk – her own description!
Pictures of her
completed artwork and the room to follow ASAP!
Absolutely no fear on
the Gator these days! Grandma pops it into slow gear but Flora grabs the stick
and pulls ‘er up into the fast one and off she goes! She has now started to
take the wheel out of the turn position that keeps her going in a nice circle.
It catches me off guard and I can’t catch the little bugger when she is
hurdling toward some object that she hasn’t figured out how to steer clear of!
Had me in fits of laughter to watch her crashing at full speed, eyes full of
delight, cackling away like a mad woman!
Favorite song. I love her singing along. What a sweet girl.

Story time at breakfast
Flora has a board book that was ruined with water and now
has a ton of exposed plain brown pages that she enjoys “reading” at breakfast
time. She sits for a long time, coming
up with all sorts of things (with her other books too) and this video is a
sample of one:
