A sunny day for a visit to the farm. Flora went to see the calves with her grand-men, ate butter, played with her cousins, stole supper from Tara, shed a few tears and scratched her tongue.

We had a pretty rough day yesterday. Flora and I have been knocked down by yet another cold plus she was working pretty hard on her eye teeth and that has made her an emotional wreck.  It was a long day.

We went to the park and wandered by the creek and played pooh sticks

spring is here! Hopefully!

The weather is beautiful and the snow we enjoyed earlier in the week has turned to mud and puddles so it was the perfect chance for us to let Flora test out her new rubber boots. I have really been looking forward to this moment because when I was a little girl the spring melt was always my favourite time of year.

sledding

We took major advantage of the snow last night and hit our backyard for some sledding! I can’t believe we haven’t done this before!! Okay, it may have been slightly dangerous...the sled got faster and faster as the run got packed down. You can see in a couple of photos how close we were getting to flying off our rock wall. Don’t worry, I was there to make sure Tom didn’t get anywhere near the edge... Flora, on the other hand, was stuck going with me and her Dad!
