ballerina

A couple of videos of sweet little Flora. She has been really into dancing and loves to be a ballerina. I love the concentration when she twirls, and the way she checks her hand positions before executing her spin.

time with Gran and Grandad!

Wow! What a chin!

Telling Dad stories.

Nice and chilly walk down by the river with the folks!

Happy Birthday!

Well, my darling baby is now 3! I can’t believe how time has flown by. She is a spectacular little thing and we can’t believe how lucky we are to have her in our lives.

Her party was pig themed, of course, for the girl who cannot get enough OINK in her life. It was UNBELIEVABLY difficult to find pig decorations outside the branded Olivia or Peppa Pig ones, neither of which are the right sort of pig for Flora. So I, being the genius mother that I am, decided that I would create a candy buffet for the kids to “pig out” at! Okay, fast forward to 10 screaming 2+ year olds who all create havoc wherever they are naturally are now fueled by the enormous amount of glucose I have managed to allow them to shovel into their snouts! It was noisy, it was chaotic, but it was BRILLIANT! Thank you to everyone who braved the nasty snowstorm to come out and give Flora the celebration that she enjoyed so much. I will never forget the slightly manic look on Flora’s face as we delivered her cake to her. Her eyes were so wide she was forcing herself to blink and her tongue was, almost uncontrollably, licking circles around her greedy little gob!

Bringing the cows home

We had a wonderful time at the west pasture watching the crew bring the cows in and load them up. The weather was beautiful, food was great and the company was the best! Iris slept, all cozy and snug, while Flora built a snowman with Gran and watched the cattle liner with Grandad!
