"i hide"

Flora keeps trying to crawl into cupboards, I think because at Gramma and Grampa's there is an awesome space to get into that she likes to take over. Unfortunately we don't really have a suitable cupboard for her to sit in. She has gotten creative and now tells me "i hide", I try not to let on that I can see her....

going camping

I was going to add a description to this video but after watching it back again, I realize I have somewhat annoyingly repeated everything Flora has said to me. So, here she is, off camping.

Flora, Pike and Boone go on adventures

A perfectly pleasant day out at the farm yesterday. We had a walk down by the river, ate a picnic lunch, saw a dead fish, picked rocks, rode the gator and enjoyed some cousin time!

Flora keeps a firm grip on the handle AT ALL TIMES.

I really like these two pics but wish I had realized there was a can of bug spray right in the shot! A more dedicated photographer would crop the truck out from the top of the picture and magically erase the spray. I am not that person.

Flora, still holding on for dear life.

clips are a cheap form of entertainment

What a great smile for the camera!

Who knew that Rich and I would get so much use out of a hiking back-pack?! Flora loves doing up the clips and tells me "I can do self, mummy" when I try to help her out!

drinking tea

Enjoying a bit of jasmine green tea at my birthday dinner last night!

Seeing as my blog has taken a back seat to the many other things I have been trying to accomplish, please download instagram and follow me to get some awesome pics like the one above! @eklassen

camping catch up

Heading to the lake was a dream, as always. We were plagued by a couple of days of heavy rain but we managed to tough it out and enjoyed lovely weather for the remainder of the holiday. Flora was a trouper. She still tents like a dream, being able to play around on her own until she was ready to fall asleep in whatever corner she happened to be in seemed to work for her. She did take an awful lot of time to get there some nights and Rich got to witness (through the screen door) the moment her eyes glazed over while playing with Nini and she fell over, fast asleep. We also watched as she slowly worked the zipper open by pushing it forward, then pulling back, pushing forward pulling back, each time sticking her hand out to see if she had enough room to get out. Eventually she had the zip open wide enough and her little face popped out. Best of all, even though she should have been going to sleep, she had her boots on over her pjs, ready for play! She wasn’t keen on the lake, she managed to get up to her mid-calf by the end of the holiday but it took a lot of persuading. Throwing rocks in or playing with her blow-up bug were favored options. It was great to have all the family around. Seeing all her cousins, aunts and uncles was a big treat. She calls Uncle Milt “Auntie Milk”...
